Archaeological Evidence of Egypt - Santorini Link

From article: Egyptian archaeologists (today) announced that they have unearthed traces of solidified lava on the northern coast of Sinai that date to around 1500 B.C.—supporting accounts that ancient Egyptian settlements were buried by a massive volcanic eruption in the Mediterranean, they say. The archaeological team, led by Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud of Egypt's Supreme Council for Antiquities, found houses, military structures, and tombs encased in ash, along with fragments of pumice, near the ancient Egyptian fortress of Tharo, on the Horus military road. Tharo is located close to El Qantara, where the Nile Delta meets the Sinai peninsula. According to Zahi Hawass, secretary general of the council, the lava and ash hail from Santorini, an eastern Mediterranean volcano that has been linked to the myth of Atlantis. The new find seems to confirm accounts from ancient artwork and documents that recount the destruction of coastal cities in Egypt and Palestine during the 15th dynasty (1650-1550 B.C.)

Two Jerusalems?

Isaiah 66

1 Thus says the LORD:

“ Heaven is My throne, (Heaven being the cloudy area above the volcano)
And earth is My footstool. (Land around volcano)
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
2 For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the LORD.

“ But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.
 3 “ He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man;
He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog’s neck;
He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine’s blood;
He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol.
Just as they have chosen their own ways,
And their soul delights in their abominations,
4 So will I choose their delusions,
And bring their fears on them;
Because, when I called, no one answered,
When I spoke they did not hear;
But they did evil before My eyes,
And chose that in which I do not delight.”
The LORD Vindicates Zion
5 Hear the word of the LORD,
You who tremble at His word: (Because they're afraid of the noise of the volcano?)
“ Your brethren who hated you,
Who cast you out for My name’s sake, said,

‘ Let the LORD be glorified,
That we may see your joy.’
But they shall be ashamed.”
6 The sound of noise from the city!
A voice from the temple! (Noise from the volcano?)
The voice of the LORD, (Eruption sounds?)
Who fully repays His enemies!
7 “ Before she was in labor, she gave birth;
Before her pain came,
She delivered a male child.
8 Who has heard such a thing?
Who has seen such things?
Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once?
For as soon as Zion was in labor,
She gave birth to her children.
9 Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the LORD.

“ Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God.
10 “ Rejoice with Jerusalem,
And be glad with her, all you who love her;
Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her;
11 That you may feed and be satisfied
With the consolation of her bosom,
That you may drink deeply and be delighted
With the abundance of her glory.”

12 For thus says the LORD:

“ Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river,
And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream.
Then you shall feed;
On her sides shall you be carried,
And be dandled on her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts,
So I will comfort you;
And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”
The Reign and Indignation of God
14 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice,
And your bones shall flourish like grass;
The hand of the LORD shall be known to His servants,
And His indignation to His enemies.
 15 For behold, the LORD will come with fire (Volcanic fire?)
And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, (Chariots of fiery ash clouds...his weapon?)
To render His anger with fury,
And His rebuke with flames of fire. (Volcanic fire?)
16 For by fire and by His sword (By fire?)
The LORD will judge all flesh;
And the slain of the LORD shall be many.
 17 “ Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves,
To go to the gardens
After an idol in the midst,
Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse,
Shall be consumed together,” says the LORD.

18 “For I know their works and their thoughts. It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see My glory. 19  (People will come to see what? What glory is there to see? The fiery caldera?) I will set a sign among them; (Fiery eruption?) and those among them who escape I will send to the nations: to Tarshish and Pul[a] and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory (What could there be to see in an ordinary temple?) . And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles (What could people run off to report about on an ordinary temple?). 20 Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the LORD out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, (So Jerusalem is a holy mountain with something glorious about it that people will travel to and run off to tell others about?)” says the LORD, “as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. 21 And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites,” says the LORD.
22 “ For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the LORD,

“ So shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD. (So they couldn't worship you where they were? They had to travel to get to you to worship you, just like the Hebrews of the Exodus did?)
24 “ And they shall go forth and look
Upon the corpses of the men
Who have transgressed against Me.
For their worm does not die,
And their fire is not quenched.
They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”

Either these metaphors are throwback terms from the days of the Hebrews at Mount Sinai or Solomon's Temple was built on or next to a volcano that was called Jerusalem, meaning there are or were Jerusalems.

In the year 1950 in a forlorn corner of Arabia, in the southern peninsula below Saudi Arabia, lived many Jews who traced their ancestry back to Jews who settled in Yemen during the times of King Solomon and the first Temple, some 3500 years ago.

The first mention of Jews in the areas of modern-day Saudi Arabia dates back, by some accounts, to the time of the First Temple.

Why so far away? Or was it not that far away then?

Evidence of the Hebrews in Saudi Arabia

As I'm not like most atheists, due to having a partial belief in the Bible, I can see evidence of the Hebrews' existence in Saudi Arabia, or at least hints of that possibility. Here are some Biblical verses that suggest the Hebrew's were in Saudi. For now I'll just cover snakes, scorpions, deserts/wasteland, water out of rocks, rifts, camels and lions. Although individually these verses mean nothing, collectively they do suggest a first hand experience of the country.

Numbers 21:6  And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

1 Corinthians 10:9  We should not test the Lord, as some of them did--and were killed by snakes.

Deuteronomy 8:15  He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

Jeremiah 8:17  "See, I will send venomous snakes among you, vipers that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you," declares the LORD.

Deuteronomy 32:24  I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

Revelation 9:10  And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

2 Chronicles 10:11  My father laid on you a heavy yoke; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.'"

Revelation 9:5  They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

Deuteronomy 8:15  Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

Isaiah 30:6  An oracle concerning the animals of the Negev: Through a land of hardship and distress, of lions and lionesses, of adders and darting snakes, the envoys carry their riches on donkeys' backs, their treasures on the humps of camels, to that unprofitable nation,

Leviticus 26:22 I will send wild animals against you, and they will rob you of your children, destroy your cattle and make you so few in number that your roads will be deserted.

Hosea 13:15  I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat.

Jeremiah 2:6  They did not ask, 'Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and rifts, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?'

Isaiah 43:19  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

Psalm 136:16  to him who led his people through the desert, His love endures forever.

Deuteronomy 1:19  Then, as the LORD our God commanded us, we set out from Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amorites through all that vast and dreadful desert that you have seen, and so we reached Kadesh Barnea.

Deuteronomy 2:7  The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.

Exodus 7:16  I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Psalm 114:8  who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

Psalm 78:15  He split the rocks in the desert and gave them water as abundant as the seas.

Psalm 91:13  You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Jeremiah 2:6  They did not ask, 'Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and rifts, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?'

How did the Hebrews win in battle?

Given the Hebrews were ill equipped to fight battles against professional armies until they established a monarchy, how did they achieve victory against their enemies?

Quoting from this article, which I recommend you read in full...

Before the reign of David, fighting took the form of skirmishes or raids. In this early period, the Israelites were experts at guerilla fighting. They relied on surprise attacks to panic their enemies. As well, the Israelites were poorly equipped, with little or no armour. There are few references to weapons in the period of the Judges, or in the battles that were fought then - no Israelite spears, bows, shields, javelins, axes or maces - or the protective body armor (see Judges 5:8).

Again, I believe it's very clear that the use of the words, 'chariots' and 'horses', when 'owned' by the Hebrews, is a metaphorical reference to Yahweh's fiery eruptions and tumbling ash clouds and that many claimed conquests by the Hebrews were in fact conquests by volcanic activity and finished off by the Hebrews.

2 Kings 2:11  And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

and in 'battle'....

Judges 1:19  And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

In Judges 5, the Song of Deborah.....God chose new leaders, when war came to the city gates, but not a shield or spear was seen among forty thousand in Israel.

Yahweh was a god of war...

Psalm 7:13  He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.

Psalm 45:5 Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet.

Habakkuk 3:11  Sun and moon stood still in the heavens at the glint of your flying arrows, at the lightning of your flashing spear.

Zachariah 9:14  Then the LORD will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign LORD will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the south.

I believe battles were either conducted solely by the Hebrews using skills born out of a lack of weaponry (cunning, surprise tactics, trickery, man-to-man combat) or by Yahweh (the volcanoes) via volcanic eruptions, ash emissions, lava rivers, rumblings of thunder, lightening, hail storms, etc. The latter the Hebrews were not only accustomed to but also in favour of in enemy territory as they believed these signs and wonders were on their side. Some battles in the Bible may not have been battles at all but territorial and wealth opportunities born out of natural disasters that laid cities to waste allowing the Hebrews to go in afterwards to loot and then claim victory thanks to Yahweh. One example of this could be Jericho, which I believe was destroyed not by Joshua's trumpets but by an earthquake, which was seen as a volcano's 'outstretched arm'.

Judges 1:19 Iron Chariots

"And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron."
—Judges 1:19

Proof god's trait of omnipotence was added at a later date.

This verse should also prove something else to the reader. It should prove the point that Yahweh had power on and around the mountains but his power would not stretch far beyond that.

If we compare Judges 1:19 to the following.....

Isaiah 66:15-6 says  "The Lord will come with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all men, and many will be those slain by the Lord."

...we can see that the use of the term 'chariots' in Isaiah was metaphorical, whereas in Judges it was literal. The author of the Judges verse wanted to make a distinction between these chariots and the usual Yahweh chariots, and therefore added the word 'iron'. That was enough to explain the distinction, which was that these Judges chariots were real chariots.

I will re-write the Judges verse to help explain my ideas.

'Yahweh was on the side of Judah and cleared the mountains of the enemy people with his fiery eruptions and tumbling ash clouds, but could do nothing in the valleys as the enemy had real chariots there.'

The verses in my Chariots of Fire post show us that Yahweh's chariots were to do with fire, wind, etc, which I believe refers to volcanic activity. When it comes to the Judges verse in which Yahweh is powerful on the mountains but not in the valleys, it certainly makes even more sense that Yahweh was a volcano, his chariots of fire were his tumbling ash clouds/fiery eruptions and he was no match for real chariots with iron used by the enemy down in the valleys. In other words, Yahweh could not assist in armed combat. He could make people flee from mountains but he could do nothing against a proper chariot. The Hebrews claimed the glory of victory when in fact they'd done nothing. The volcano, or volcanoes, had done the dirty work.

Bible Chariots of Fire - tumbling ash or racing lava from volcanoes

Were the chariots of fire mentioned in the Bible in fact tumbling ash or racing lava from volcanoes?

Isaiah 66:15-6 says  "The Lord will come with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all men, and many will be those slain by the Lord."

Zechariah 6:1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

Jeremiah 4:13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are ruined

There are several theories going around for all the smoke and fire in the Bible. I've come across one that says the plumes of smoke and fire indicate a nuclear war and another that says the chariots of the lord indicate an alien invasion. Why oh why do people not put themselves in the shoes of the Hebrews with a basic knowledge of their environment? Why do they think of these things in terms of what's happening now or what we are afraid of now?

This puzzle requires empathy....an ability to transport yourself into whatever time or place and imagine what could have been happening and what could the people have been thinking. We need to wonder what the people were afraid of then and not what we would be afraid of now. It's important to note that any prophecies in the Bible will be based on previous events and not anything that might occur in the future that had not occurred by the time of writing. That means the revelations, or scare tactics, were based on things the people already knew of or had already experienced to their terror. Of course, some prophecies will have been exaggerated for dramatic effect but will have been based on previous events.

This puzzle's key is far less exciting than aliens or nuclear explosions. It's very natural, very normal and far less frightening to children so I really hope it gets the audience it needs to put a stop to fear mongering.

The chariots were, my empathic mind tells me, tumbling or billowing fiery ash, racing lava or fiery gas explosions around volcanic fields. The 'Lord's chariot' just being his mode of armored transport. Added to everything else in the theory, this metaphor's origin is obvious.

Psalm 104:4 He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.

His army and its weaponry and machinery are all very natural and volcanic in origin but the ancient people didn't realise that. They just saw land being 'made to waste'.

Joel 2

Blow the trumpet in Zion;
    sound the alarm on my holy hill.
Let all who live in the land tremble,
    for the day of the Lord is coming.
It is close at hand—
    a day of darkness and gloom,
    a day of clouds and blackness.
Like dawn spreading across the mountains
    a large and mighty army comes,
such as never was in ancient times
    nor ever will be in ages to come.
Before them fire devours,
    behind them a flame blazes.
Before them the land is like the garden of Eden,
    behind them, a desert waste—
    nothing escapes them.
They have the appearance of horses;
    they gallop along like cavalry.
With a noise like that of chariots
    they leap over the mountaintops,
like a crackling fire consuming stubble,
    like a mighty army drawn up for battle.
At the sight of them, nations are in anguish;
    every face turns pale.
They charge like warriors;
    they scale walls like soldiers.
They all march in line,
    not swerving from their course.
They do not jostle each other;
    each marches straight ahead.
They plunge through defenses
    without breaking ranks.
They rush upon the city;
    they run along the wall.
They climb into the houses;
    like thieves they enter through the windows.
10 Before them the earth shakes,
    the heavens tremble,
the sun and moon are darkened,
    and the stars no longer shine.
11 The Lord thunders
    at the head of his army;
his forces are beyond number,
    and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the Lord is great;
    it is dreadful.
    Who can endure it?

This is labeled the 'Army of Locusts' but it's clear this event was not due to locusts but to volcanic ash racing along devouring everything in its path. Locusts do not make the land tremble nor darken the sky but volcanic eruptions do.

29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
    I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens
    and on the earth,
    blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood
    before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
32 And everyone who calls
    on the name of the Lord will be saved;
for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
    there will be deliverance,

Locusts do not produce 'billows of smoke' and cannot make the moon look blood red, but volcanic eruptions can.

The second reason for a red Moon is if there’s some kind of particle in the air. A forest fire or volcanic eruption can fill the air with tiny particles that partially obscure light from the Sun and Moon. Once again, these particles tend to scatter blue and green light away, while permitting red light to pass through more easily. When you see a red moon, high up in the sky, it’s probably because there’s a large amount of dust in the air.

Incidentally, Mount Zion was probably a volcano in a place called Jerusalem other than the Jerusalem we know of today. There may have been two Jerusalems...the original one maybe in Saudi Arabia and the one we now believe is the original one in Israel.

Added later.....

They believe that when it expels hot lava, Merapi is really sending golden carriages to the South Sea, the kingdom of Nyai Ratu Kidul (Queen of the South Sea), for the feast.

However, he (Agni) is feared by nature. When he gets angry he can burn trees with his fire and burns the grass with his chariot’s wheels while raging thru the forest.

Pele is a skilled rider of the holua, a wooden sled that slides down steep stone ramps. Papalauahi and and other chiefs challenged Pele to see who was the best holua rider. Papalauahi proved by far to be the most skilled. Pele lost her temper. She produced a great flood of lava which overran many of the other chiefs and onlookers.

MOUNT Cameroon, also called Mount Fako, also called Buea Mountain but most fondly called “The chariot of the gods” is the only mountain in Cameroon which has also been recorded as a volcanic mountain, with a horrifying eruption record Cameroonians have been trying to erase from memory for over 10 years. Mount Fako is believed to be guarded from erupting again by a man-eater god named Epasa Moto. Efasa-Moto is the folkloric god of the Fako Mountain. It is believed that he controls the entire “hill” from the West Coast to the border with Balondo land to the north east coast, and towards Meme Division. Physically, Efasa-Moto’s is described as being divided vertically from top to bottom in a strange mixture of half human and half stone and yet shaped in the form of a man giving a complete picture of a goat standing on its hind legs.

Dead Sea Caused by Continental Drift?

Quote from this article: Much of the intensified major future activity for this region is prophesied to occur along the Dead Sea Transform fault, a continuation of the Red Sea and East African Rift system. This fault runs directly under the Dead Sea, up through the Jordan river valley, the Sea of Galilee, and northward through Lebanon. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Abraham's day was in the area south of what is presently the Dead Sea. The Bible's mention of a rain of fire and brimstone from heaven on those wicked cities (See Genesis 19:24 - 29) indicates that the Divine judgment came from sudden volcanic/tectonic activity in a "plain" area which is now the submerged floor of the Dead Sea. There is evidence that the Age of the Dead Sea is only about as old as the time of Abraham. In the days of the Garden of Eden, there was no Dead Sea in that spot, but a river flowed through the rift zone southwards towards the area that is presently the Red Sea (More on that in the Lost Rivers of Eden chapter).

The Dead Sea is only as old as the time of Abraham? I wonder if the Sea of Galilee was formed at the same time as the Dead Sea and if the Gulf of Aqaba was also formed or widened at the same time. Could the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, have been formed by the two tectonic plates that meet along this rift (the red line in the map) being pulled apart?

Could the Dead Sea have been caused by Continental Drift in Biblical times? This would be ironic given Alfred Wegener, the man whose career was devoted to trying to convince geological experts of Continental Drift, was also mocked and derided only to be proven correct long after his death.

Tectonics in the Bible

Zechariah 14:4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

Does that not sound like a massive tectonic shift to you?

Bible Fire

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Daniel 7:10

Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. Psalm 97:3

Topheth has long been prepared; it has been made ready for the king. Its fire pit has been made deep and wide, with an abundance of fire and wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of burning sulfur, sets it ablaze. Isaiah 30:33

The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers. Isaiah 10:13

The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?" Isaiah 33:14

See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Isaiah 66:15

So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD." Ezekiel 22:31

The LORD has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations. Lamentations 4:11

As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you! Isaiah 64:2

The Holy Great Rift Valley

Wiki: The northernmost part of the Rift, today called the Dead Sea Transform or Rift, forms the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon separating the Lebanon Mountains and Anti-Lebanon Mountains. Further south it is known as the Hula Valley separating the Galilee mountains and the Golan Heights. The River Jordan begins here and flows southward through Lake Hula into the Sea of Galilee in Israel, then continues south through the Jordan Rift Valley into the Dead Sea on the Israeli-Jordanian border. From the Dead Sea southwards, the Rift is occupied by the Wadi Arabah, then the Gulf of Aqaba, and then the Red Sea. Off the southern tip of Sinai in the Red Sea, the Dead Sea Transform meets the Red Sea Rift which runs the length of the Red Sea. The Red Sea Rift comes ashore to meet the East African Rift and the Aden Ridge in the Afar Depression of East Africa. The junction of these three rifts is called the Afar Triple Junction.

Then about 4,300 years ago civilization in the Holy Land collapsed again. The great cities were abandoned or destroyed. Some scholars blame the Egyptians, others have pointed the finger at nomadic tribes from Syria, and still others cite environmental factors or perhaps a combination of all these causes.

I'm just posting my thoughts. It seems pretty obvious to me what's been happening in the Holy Land. The Holy Land is called the Holy Land because of the number of mind blowing things that happen there and the strength in which they occur. The terms 'Holy Land' and 'Great Rift' put together answer everything. What could possibly have happened to destroy civilisation in the Holy Land 4300 years ago? Gosh. That's a hard one. Could it have been.......hmmmm.......tectonic shifting resulting in seismic activity, namely volcanic eruptions and earthquakes? It doesn't take a genius to work it out. This is so simple it's child's play. I'll be back with more findings.

Flaming gas leaks in Jordan

This sounds like just the kind of thing that could spark off a whole religion. It's even more impressive that a burning bush due to a flaming gas leak.

Ex-Christian Help

I wrote this post to try to help other ex-Christians to completely and utterly once and for all crush their last slivers of faith, knowing how terrible a mental torture it is to be in two minds. The tug of war between faith and loss of faith is the worst indecision a person can experience and I believe the information in this blog and its subsequent revelation can and will act as the best tonic possible. It worked for me. Drink it and get on with your life a happier, freer and more certain and relaxed person with renewed hope and faith in this life.

Mount Sinai is a volcano, according to Bible experts.

“According to Exodus 19 … Mount Sinai blazed with fire, was enveloped by a huge plume of cloud or smoke and shook violently as in an earthquake. Flashes of lightning and sounds like trumpet blasts also occurred. The description fits a a volcanic eruption. The emission of hot gases from fissures can produce trumpet-like sounds, and observers have reported seeing massive electrical displays emanatin...g from volcanic clouds. No volcanoes are known to have erupted during that period in the Sinai Peninsula, but Arabia has many volcanoes. One volcanic mountain in the western Arabian Peninsula, Hala al Bedr (Mount Bedr), is according to this theory a particularly promising candidate for ancient Mount Sinai.”

NIV Archeological Study Bible, p. 123.

Bible......'My Fiery Anger'

What could 'my fiery anger' be refering to in the Bible? Could it be volcanic lava?

Ezekiel 21:31 I will pour out my fury on you and breathe on you with my fiery anger. I will hand you over to cruel people who are skilled in destruction.

2.Ezekiel 22:20 People gather silver, copper, iron, lead, and tin together in a smelting furnace to melt them with a fiery blast. In the same way, in my anger and fury I will gather you and put you in the city. I will melt you there.

3.Ezekiel 22:21 Yes, I will gather you, breathe on you with my fiery anger, and melt you in the city.

4.Ezekiel 22:31 So I will pour out my anger on you, and with my fiery anger I will consume you. This is because of all the things you have done,” declares the Almighty Lord.

Deucalion......myth or legend?

Wiki: In Greek mythology Deucalion was a son of Prometheus and Pronoia. The anger of Zeus was ignited by the hubris of the Pelasgians, and he decided to put an end to the Bronze Age. Lycaon, the king of Arcadia, had sacrificed a boy to Zeus, who was appalled by this savage offering. Zeus loosed a deluge, so that the rivers ran in torrents and the sea flooded the coastal plain, engulfed the foothills with spray, and washed everything clean. Deucalion, with the aid of his father Prometheus, was saved from this deluge by building a chest. Like his Biblical equivalent Noah and Mesopotamian counterpart Utnapishtim, he uses his chest to save himself and his wife, Pyrrha.

Deucalion is parallel to Biblical Noah and to Utnapishtim, the survivor of the Sumerian flood that is told in the Epic of Gilgamesh.[1][2] Deucalion's name comes from δεύκος déucos, a variant of γλεύκος, "sweet new wine, must, sweetness"[3] + ἁλιεύς haliéus "sailor, seaman, fisher".[4] His wife Pyrrha's name is derived from the adjective πυρρός, -ά, -όν pyrrós, -á, -ón, meaning "flaming (figuratively, never with actual fire)" or "flame-colored, orange".

Deucalion's flood may be dated in the chronology of Saint Jerome to ca. 1460 BC.

..................................................................

Could it be that this Greek mythological character was created in memory of a tsunami caused by the Santorini eruption? The dates seem to match up well. The fact the story (in full in Wiki) is so similar to the story of Noah suggests a link between the Hebrews and the Greeks. It is possible that refugees of the Santorini eruption fled to Egypt where they worked for food and lodgings and became known as 'Habiru', which seems to have been the catch-all term given to people living on the edge of Egyptian society. It is also possible the Hebrews were all Habiru.

Sodom and Gomorrah.....destroyed by seismic activity.

This article, written by a Muslim, discussed the evidence of a major seismic event around the Dead Sea, which could explain the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by seismic activity, namely volcanoes and earthquakes. This seismic activity could have been linked to the Santorini eruption. Either the tectonic plates moved apart causing the Santorini eruption or the Santorini eruption was the catalyst that triggered the seismic activity all the way down The Great Rift.

This Biblical psalm certainly portrays a scene of seismic devastation in which a volcano causes the sea level and landscape to alter.
Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight. The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them. You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth. (Psa 104:1-9 ESV)

Biblical evidence of the Santorini volcanic eruption?

This article includes lots of Biblical verses that could well refer to the aftermath of the Santorini (Thera) volcanic eruption. It suggests the Dead Sea, including Sodom and Gomorrah, was affected.

Oh my god! What the hell is that???

Mount Sinai and its fiery eruption.

Does that not look like a volcano to you? That was a line I heard on a Youtube video made by Chris White and he was supposed to be debunking the theory. Well, he failed and so did I, hence the reason for my rapid slide from Christian specialness into apostate ordinariness.

Click this to see a list of Biblical volcanic sounding verses, bearing in mind the real Mount Sinai is probably not the official Mount Sinai.

Evidence of the Exodus

This video explains the possible evidence the Exodus was based on actual events and also ties in well with my theories about the volcanic eruption of Santorini. It does fail in the end by not explaining the volcanic nature of Mount Sinai, but maybe that was because it would have proven an explosive revelation. I'm not convinced about the proposed location of Mount Sinai, but it's worth investigating. There may now only be volcanoes in Saudi Arabia but back then, due to possible seismic activity along the whole of the Great Rift, volcanoes may have been found all the way up to Jordan or even Israel.
